surroundings when you travel. You can arrange for friends and neighbors
to take care of your pet at home, but often, they're too busy, and you
don't like to impose.
Our
pet sitting service provides your dog and/or cat the care they need
while you're away—right in your own home.
Our
staff truly loves animals, and with us, you are assured reliable and
responsible service.
Your
pets will:

HOW
OUR SERVICE WORKS
When
you call us, we arrange a visit to your home shortly before you leave.
This is so we can meet you and your pets, get detailed information about
caring for them, and pick up a key to your home or apartment.
You
decide how often you want us to visit each day you're away and what
services you would like performed. Fees are based on the number and type
of pets and the number of visits per day.
While
you're away, we will:
• feed your pets.
• provide fresh, clean water for them.
• exercise and have playtime with them.
• give medication, vitamins and provide for any other special
needs.
• get medical treatment in case of illness.
And
while taking care of your pets, we are happy to water your plants and
make your home look "lived-in" by bringing in mail or
newspapers and adjusting draperies and lights.
Even
if you are not leaving home, there may be instances where we can be of
service. Unusual working hours or lengthy illnesses may make it
difficult to properly care for your pets. Please call to discuss how we
may help.
TO
ARRANGE FOR SERVICE
We
require four (4) days advance notice to make a reservation. Please call
us at least four days before you're scheduled to leave town. During
holidays and summer months it's best to give additional notice.

for clients who utilize our services two or more days per week and who will be home
to care for their pets each evening through the following morning.
Overnight Visits
$70.00 up to 4 pets (subject to availability)
Do you want a slumber party for your pets with a lot of extra TLC?
Overnight visits are from 9:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. (approximate times).
After-hours evening and early morning pet sitting service visits are included.
Additional fees apply to multiple pet households and to additional visits requested during the day.
Anchorage Hillside Visits
Minimum $2.00 additional per visit
Upper Hillside and some Anchorage areas (i.e. military bases) may incur additional charges per visit
depending on location, distance, time, accessibility, etc. Please call for details.
Holiday
Care
$10.00 additional per visit
Applicable to the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Normal
Route Hours
Service visits occur between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. All
times are approximate and are based on pet sitter’s route.
Morning visits are between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Midday visits are between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Evening visits are between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Visits made earlier/later than Normal Route Hours: $10.00 addtl. per visit
“Last-Minute” Reservations

Emergency Care
$30.00 per hour (+ .75 cents per mile if applicable) between the hours 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. AFTER HOURS RATE: $45.00 per hour (+ .75 cents per mile if applicable) between the hours 7:01 p.m. and 6:59 a.m. Examples include: In the event your pet becomes ill and needs to be transported to the vet, or there is a lack of supplies necessary to care for your pet and home in your absence, or encountering complications in administering medications, or delivering proper care to excessively difficult, aggressive or unruly dogs, etc.
PAWS Taxi
$30.00 per hour + .75 cents per mile (30 minute minimum). Trips to the vet, groomer, pet store for supplies, or perhaps your dog might want a romp in the dog park, an adventure along a local hiking trail, or maybe just a drive around town to see the sights and enjoy a breath of fresh air!
Additional
Fees
Additional
fees may be charged for services rendered outside regular route area,
administering medication to temperamental pets, delivering proper care to excesively difficult. aggresive or unruly dogs, watering a large
number of plants, or for other requested services that are time
consuming.
Payment
Payment
is due in full when the Pet Sitting Service Contract is signed for
first-time clients during the initial client meeting. A one-time contract processing fee of $25.00 applies to all new clients.
For existing
clients, payment is due in full prior to or on the first day sitting
service visits begin. For clients who utilize our services on an ongoing
(weekly or monthly) basis, payment is due at the beginning of each week of
service. Accounts to be billed on a monthly basis are at the discretion
of Alyeska PAWS and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation
Policy
It
is important that your reservation be completely sincere, as there is a
large demand for the services we offer here at Alyeska PAWS. A $30.00
cancellation fee applies if client cancels services
after contract has been signed and keys have been picked up by pet sitter. If client cancels services less than four (4) days
prior to assignment start date, client also forfeits the cost of all contracted service visits that fall within the
four (4) day period. Once sitting service visits begin, all remaining contracted service visits are non-refundable (i.e., early returns home, last-minute cancellations, etc.).
Every-Other-Day
Service
Because
your pets are loved and treasured members of our extended family, we
believe daily visits are essential and necessary to ensure their safety
and well-being. Alyeska PAWS will NOT provide every-other-day service to
any of the pets entrusted to our care.
What We Require from You
In
order for us to have the opportunity to provide the ultimate care for
your pets during our limited service visit time, we require each client
to provide all food, treats, toys, medications, vitamins, bags for
scooping poop, supplies, etc., that are necessary to provide proper care for pets during
client’s absence. In the event that the amount of food and/or supplies
is not sufficient, additional fees will be charged for pet sitter’s
time, as well as the reimbursement cost of supplies purchased (see rates under PAWS Taxi).
Areas of Your Home and Yard
UNSECURED
PETS:
Alyeska PAWS will not be held liable for free-roaming outdoor pets (i.e.,
cats) in the event of illness, injury, loss or death. It is strongly
advised that all pets wear an ID tag with a contact number and that they
remain inside the home or confined for their own safety and welfare in
your absence. SECURED AREAS:
It is the pet owner's sole responsibility to pet-proof any areas of the
home and/or property to which the pet has access. This includes
thoroughly inspecting home, fences, gates, latches, doors and other devices
meant to keep pets inside of or away from any areas. The pet sitter does
not assume and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain
while in its own home or on its own property.
Damages
If
you feel that Alyeska PAWS, Inc. is responsible for any damages, you must
notify us within 24 hours so the damages can be assessed and reported to
our liability company in a timely manner. If you fail to notify Alyeska
PAWS, Inc. within 24 hours, you will relinquish any and all claims against
Alyeska PAWS, Inc.
WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT FROM US!
We will provide the professional love and care your pet deserves while you are away. We will make every effort to ensure the safety of your home in your absence. Each sitter is bonded, insured, and will maintain confidentiality for your protection.
